Our new range of ancient madder fabrics are handprinted in Macclesfield, England, and then handmade in our workshop in our lightly lined, six-fold construction. These artisanal madder silks are the best reproduction of the vintage stuff we've ever seen in terms of depth of colour as well as that chalky, dusty feel, with none of the environmentally harmful chemicals and dyes used in the traditional ancient madder manufacturing process. Texturally and visually, ancient madders are a truly perfect match for tweed or flannel suits in the winter.
