Landscapes - Kiruna
Narrative
We have collaborated with textile designer Angeline Oei of A.Oei Studio to produce a series of 6 pocket squares inspired by breathtaking landscapes we encountered during our travels. All our Landscape series pocket squares are made of a lightweight printed silk twill printed in Como, and are sewn with dense hand rolled edges in our own workshop in Singapore.
Kiruna is the northernmost town in Sweden, within the Arctic circle. Growing up in a tropical climate of 30 degrees celcius, visiting Kiruna in winter with a temperature of -30 degrees celsius was literally a mind numbing experience. Our husky sled ride (led by the alpha male Malfoy!) and the piping hot bowl of salmon chowder our guide served at the end of the experience was something we will never forget!
